Payment information
Your fees are subsidized. Grant funding from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research (bm.wf) and the City of Vienna covers ~50% of the total cost of VDRC services. The remaining costs must be covered by user fees. VBCF is a non-profit organization.
Currently we can accept payment by Visa or Master Card only. To place an order, please provide your credit card number and its expiry date. This information is not stored at the VDRC. For these transactions our servers are protected and secured by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Fees per order (as of 19th May, 2014)
Fees will be AUTOMATICALLY applied at the checkout stage based on the total number of items in your order. It is not possible to choose between FAST and STANDARD dispatch rate.

Explanation of fee structure
RNAi lines, other stocks and DNA constructs each count as ’items’.
Orders of 100 items or less will be automatically charged at the FAST dispatch service rate dispatched from VDRC within 2 weeks of ordering date (excluding public holidays, unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, airline strikes, or as otherwise notified in advance on our website).
All orders above 100 lines will be charged at the STANDARD dispatch service rate. Every additional item beyond the 500th costs €2.50. Dispatch of these orders may take up to 6 weeks.
Please note:
- Fast dispatch of orders charged at the ’standard’ dispatch rate will not be possible.
- If your order contains 100 items or less the FAST dispatch rate will be applied automatically and it is not possible to choose STANDARD dispatch rate for this order, even if you do not need to receive the order swiftly.
